At various times throughout the year we and others organise residential special-interest events at the Dell House.
Our popular social boardgaming weekends for up to 16 people. Two nights full board from £170. For more details see our DellCon page.
A three-day, catered, writing retreat with lots of protected writing time but also mentoring from published authors, and publisher Kate Macdonald of Handheld Press.
Very limited places. See here for details.
A two-day, catered, exclusive, Murder Mystery experience run by Death On Demand Murder Mysteries.
July 1922. Exactly one year on from the sudden and unexplained death of local millionaire, Edward Dell, his relatives are gathering at the family home to celebrate his life.
However, a friendly intimate celebration seems to be far from their minds as secrets and resentments are unearthed.
Will everyone survive the weekend, or will death once again rear its ugly head?

Are you curious about, or just beginning to play, some of the modern board games that are becoming increasingly popular these days? If so then this is the weekend for you.
This is a full-board, fun weekend with tutors to expand your knowledge and experience of modern board games. We'll deliberately cover a wide range of game types so you can go away with a clearer understanding of what's what in modern boardgaming.
Although primarily aimed at adults of all ages, children from age 14 are welcome but will need to bring an adult each.

This is not a structured event, it's a week when we encourage bookings from garden railway enthusiasts and their families, simply so that those here have a shared interest. A week when we can give time to running trains on the FWR, consume tea and cake, and chat trains whilst also enjoying a relaxing break in the beautiful Malverns. Both B&B and self-catering are available, for the whole week or just a couple of days, with additional catering by arrangement.
The FWR is a 60m, double track, 45mm gauge, loop that has happily run 16mm, G, Gauge 1 and 7/8ths scales, sometimes all at once!

Kevin and Elizabeth gave up safe (if frustrating) careers and a large salary to leap 'unknown' into a new career, location and a huge house with bits dropping off it.
However, it was far from an 'unknown'. Kevin's career focus, across start-up and multinational high-tech companies, was to encourage staff to understand pragmatic project and risk management. This meant that the hopes and the risks of our own project of such a huge change in circumstances were worked through in advance over many months. We're pleased to report that the result is even better than we'd hoped for.
This is a two-day residential course/workshop for 2 to 6 people who are likewise considering some dramatic side-step in their careers and/or lifestyle. It's unlikely that we'll be able to help in the specifics of your dream, but we can definitely help get that dream in focus for you.
It will be a relaxed, informal workshop involving a mixture of presentations, discussion and time to reflect and discuss in smaller groups.
Details to follow but please phone or email if you're interested.
