Bed & Breakfast

There are four B&B bedrooms, all are on the first floor of the house. The two double rooms have views to the south over the gardens and the valley beyond.

All rooms are en-suite with basin, WC and shower; the Red Room also has a bath. All have a TV and Fairtrade tea- & coffee- making facilities. Herb, fruit, & other teas are freely available. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. We have a large car park.

All prices are per room per night and include omnivore, vegetarian or vegan cooked breakfasts.

Vegetarian (or Vegan) packed lunches are available by prior arrangement from £7.50 per person.

In the light of COVID-19...

Masks are not required, but are perfectly acceptable. Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance.

We will not normally be entering your room during your stay.

We have found the resulting privacy is popular. Rooms will not be serviced but arrangements are in place for you to have fresh mugs, supplies, etc. on request. If you are staying for four or more nights we'll discuss what you would like in terms of cleaning. Our standard prices assume this practice - additional servicing is possible at additional charge.

The Red Room (Premium Double)

A view of the Red bedroom. This part of the room is approximately 5 metres square and 3 metres high. This view is from the entrance corner, across the room. (The en-suite bathroom occupies a further 2 metres to our left). In the centre left of the picture is an antique-style brass king-sized bed with duvet and pillows. The head of the bed is to the left of the picture and is against the wall of the bathroom, papered in a modern, dark red wallpaper. There are two wall lights and a picture above the bed. The other walls are painted a light grey-green and the frieze and ceiling a very pale red with cornice and details in white. The carpet is beige. To the right of the view is the large, 6-pane, bay window that overlooks the garden. This window has heavy, red, full-height curtains. On the opposite wall, beyond the bed, is a black-painted iron fireplace with white marble surround, with an array of books on the mantlepiece and a picture above. There is also an antique wooden chest of drawers, with TV and lamp on the top. There are two pendant ceiling lights, one over the fireplace, one over the bay window. Three 'farmhouse style' wooden armchairs with cushions are in the bay, one of which is in front of a wooden dressing table, also in the bay window. The Red Room is the largest room with a king-sized (5ft) double bed, a bathroom with bath (and shower over), and the has glorious views to the south. It is spacious enough to accommodate a child guest on a folding bed if desired.

The Blue Room (Double)

A view of the Blue bedroom as seen from the corner diagonally opposite the entrance door. The room is roughly square, less the part that the en-suite takes up. In the centre of the picture is an antique-style black metal-framed double bed, with chrome finials. The wall behind it is papered in a modern light blue wallpaper in an abstract design. The carpet is mid-blue, the ceiling and frieze are painted a very light blue with white cornice and picture rail. The remaining walls are a pale cream. The woodwork is all painted white. To the left of the door on this picture is a black-painted iron fireplace with marble surround, with an array of books on the mantlepiece and a picture above. Also in the room is a wall mounted heated towel rail, and two small, ornate, blue-upholstered chairs with wooden arms, and plain white storage units with drawers either side of the bed, each with a wall light above. The Blue Room is smaller than the Red Room but does share the great views to the south. It has a 4ft6 double bed, en-suite shower & WC, TV, tea and coffee facilities, radio alarm, etc.
