Murder Mystery Weekend!

Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd July

The scene

July 1922.

Exactly one year on from the sudden and unexplained death of local millionaire, Edward Dell, his relatives are gathering at the family home to celebrate his life.

However, a friendly intimate celebration seems to be far from their minds as secrets and resentments are unearthed.

Will everyone survive the weekend, or will death once again rear its ugly head?

You are invited... an incredibly exclusive Murder Mystery weekend, for no more than 14 guests, created and hosted by Death on Demand Murder Mysteries, especially for The Dell House.

The weekend is a fully interactive, live-action immersive theatre experience. The experienced actors will be ‘in character’ for the entire weekend and will interact with the guests freely. There is no ‘stage’ – the characters are around and among the guests throughout. The plot, clues and motives are revealed as the weekend progresses. There may even be an opportunity to rummage through the character’s possessions or find clues around the property!

One thing that guests can be assured of is that the event will be performed entirely by the experienced cast of Death On Demand. No guest is asked or expected to play a main role – other than detective! However, guests are welcome to dress according to the era.

Prices from £270/person

Most accommodation is in the B&B rooms, including using the Butler's ground floor apartment for B&B over the weekend.

The Coach House self-catering cottage is also available to book for this weekend. This is particularly suitable if you'd like to come with friends and share the cottage, perhaps as part of a longer holiday in the Malverns.

Breakfast in the B&B on Saturday morning is included in the Coach House price.

How do I book?

Email or phone us to check availability. To confirm a booking we require a non-refundable deposit of £100 per person please. The remainder will be due a month before the event. We can take credit/debit card or bank transfer.

Are there any Non-Resident places?

Sorry, no.

Are Children Allowed?

The Murder Mystery is recommended for 16+. The content can be risqué in its nature at times. At least one member of every booking must be an adult (over 18). Price is per person regardless of age.

Are Dogs Allowed?

Both the Butler's apartment and the Coach House can accommodate dogs. However, please note they will not be allowed into the main part of the B&B (assistance dogs excepted, of course).

What about Covid?

It's safe to assume Covid will still be with us in some form. With this event being limited to very small numbers, in a large, ventilated house in summer, the general risk level is relatively low.

It is likely that we will ask for Lateral Flow Tests to be taken on the day of arrival. Other safety measures will be added according to the prevailing conditions at the time.

What are the Cancellation Terms?

Our B&B Terms and conditions apply to all attendees.

Strictly speaking, the full cancellation terms apply and in particular the deposit is non-refundable. However, informally, we tend to use the following approach:

Only if we have to cancel because of Covid regulations, will monies be refunded.

Is there parking?

Yes, we have a sizeable car park. You will need to park neatly to fit everyone in but that's always worked so far.
