Kevin & Elizabeth had a garden railway in Cambridge from 2006. In 2014 they gave up jobs and bought a large B&B in Malvern with two acres of garden to recover. It's taken a little time but the "Flatland" (we were never impressed with Cambridgeshire scenery) Railway is operational again - and this time it's double track!
This year we are putting together the accommodation and the railway and offering a residential weekend exclusive to garden railway enthusiasts.
We're using the same broad format as our highly successful boardgames weekends. It's Friday through to Sunday; all meals are included, and numbers are limited.
Non-engineering partners are very welcome. There's plenty to enjoy here whether that's relaxing in the garden, curling up on a comfortable sofa with one of our hundreds of books, walking the Malvern hills which are literally across the road, or exploring this fascinating region.
The price is dependent on which room you choose according to the following table. This is the TOTAL price including accommodation for two nights, meals and refreshments

The accommodation cost is at a discount to our usual rates. We won't be servicing the rooms because we'll be bringing you tea and cake, and running our own trains.
Older children (14+) are welcome. They will need to bring an adult with them.
Pets are not allowed in the B&B (except assistance dogs) otherwise there is no provision for dogs at this weekend.
Email or phone us to check availability. To confirm a booking we require a non-refundable deposit of £50 per person please. The remainder can be paid during the event. We can take cash, credit/debit card or bank transfer.
Initially no, but if the rooms have filled and we have not reached 10 people then we will be open to non-resident attendees. Therefore, if you are potentially interested in this, ask to go on the waiting list.
Our B&B Terms and conditions apply to all attendees.
Strictly speaking, the full cancellation terms apply and in particular the deposit is non-refundable. However, informally, we tend to use the following approach:
Please feel free to phone or email us if you've any questions. We reserve the right to bend rules where it seems right to do so.
Elizabeth is vegetarian and veggie/vegan breakfasts is one of our specialities. We're happy to prepare something gluten-free when others are having pizza for example. With advance notice we are happy to provide soya products for dairy-free diets, etc. If your needs are a bit more specialist, just ask.
Diets we cannot provide for are specialities such as Halal and Kosher.
Yes, we have a sizeable car park. You will need to park neatly to fit everyone in but that's always worked so far. You'll get details nearer the time if there are spaces we need to reserve etc.
